We had a great stay at Poggio Maria! This is a beautiful house with a great garden and swimming pool on top of the hill. The views are spectacular. All the recommendations we received from Miranda were top picks. I highly recommend booking an e-bike tour through the Piedmont hills and villages and a dinner prepared by Paola, the chef. Wonderful experiences! I am sure we will come back and we will recommend it to our friends

We spent a wonderful week in Poggio Maria. We loved the spacious house, its tasteful decoration, the wonderful location, and the gorgeous view of the peaceful landscape. As it was very hot, we particularly enjoyed the pool, the gazebo with its outdoor kitchen, and the lounge area where we spent relaxed days and nights. We would love to come back and explore Piedmont further.

Poggio Maria, what a great place.
We enjoyed it immensely with our friends. In the morning and in the evening, eating outside on the lovely terrace by the kitchen. We enjoyed the Chef at home, who came to cook for us, she set the table so beautifully and served delicious dishes and wines. Then we turned on the music and danced under the stars. We cycled on electric bicycles through the beautiful surroundings with a wine tasting and a special lunch along the way. We received a cooking workshop from Paola, where we learned to make pasta ourselves. These were all suggestions from Miranda, great that we could arrange all of that! It were great two weeks.

We can certainly recommend this house. Good location, well furnished and decorated. If you are with several people, you can withdraw in various places. There are many cozy outdoor places to sit!

How we enjoyed this beautiful place! Lovely spacious house with nice bedrooms and plenty of space to chill out in various places in and around the house. For our 2 families with some twenty-somethings, but also grandmother of 83 (total 11 people) a godsend. There is a lovely swimming pool and the 360 ​​view all around is formidable. Did an e-bike bike tour with wine tasting and lunch on Miranda's recommendation, very nice experience. Unfortunately we were a bit late with the reservation for the cook Paola at home, but we still had a delicious meal in her agriturismo Tre Colline in Bubbio. Visited the market in Acqui Terme, Alba and Asti and even a day/evening to Turin. All doable from this location (Turin is a 1.5 hour drive). What a wonderful week, we would love to come back!

We enjoyed the great house and beautiful surroundings. What a paradise!

A beautiful and very spacious, well-maintained house and a super nice garden with 360° stunning views. Fully equipped. Spacious rooms and nice bathrooms. The pool is suitable for everyone. Shallow part to chill out and toss a ball and a deep part where the children could do the flips. The bath is large enough to enjoy a few laps. Every day at the end of the afternoon we received a visit from 2 goats who came to make a regular round through the garden. That was funny and they didn't bother you. They were gone within 10 minutes. Dinner with the cook was exquisite. What a treat! Really recommended. Via Aad (the supervisor) we did a wine tasting. Delicious wines, good explanation and again a super nice view! We hope to be able to come back again.

We've been there for one week with three families, 6 adults & 7 kids (aged 2 -9) and it was amazing. The pool was fantastic and the main attraction for all of us. The interior is spacious and stylish but also comfortable. There is enough space for everyone and it was easy to cook in the well-equipped kitchen. The view on the top of the hill is really inspiring and the kids made friends with the animals in the neighborhood. We're looking forward to coming back! Comfortable holiday house with private pool that was cleaned and taken care off properly. Style of the house suits the region and environment. Charming terraces with enough space for many guests. Beautiful ping pong table, and we appreciated the dishwasher and washing machine. Arrangements that were made have been followed up as agreed. We have enjoyed the house with 8 adults and a baby. Weather was good.

One of a kind!

Beautiful house, very tasteful and fully equipped. Fine and spacious (sleeping) rooms, three lovely terraces with beautiful views and a great nice big pool. The owners do everything they can to make their guests feel at home: welcome drinks and everything is generously provided (kitchen utensils, plates, cutlery, books, magazines, games, etc).

We have had a top week and would love to come back!

A charming house in a quiet location. The views were amazing, even though in October we had some cloudy days. The house was big enough for two families with teenagers to have a comfortable stay. The tips provided by Miranda were very useful and made our stay very smooth. We drove around quite a lot, as the location was so good - the Barolo hills, Serravalle outlet, Asti & Alba and even to the Mediterranean for a swim. A big shop was about 10 min away by car and we had a nice barbecue at the house. As you can expect in October, the floors were cold - so bring a pair of slippers with you! Big thanks for Miranda & Mathieu for renting the beautiful house!

We are now back in the Netherlands for a few weeks, but our thoughts often wander to that lovely, charming house on the mountain: Poggio Maria. What an impression this house makes when you drive down the road and see her standing on top of the mountain with her green shutters and beautiful trees in the driveway. This house is one of a kind. So well maintained, furnished with style and love and very complete in terms of kitchenware. In addition, there were surprisingly many sitting areas to relax and the beds were good. We were 11 people (adults and children) and were especially fans of the gazebo next to the pool where we grilled our prawns in the afternoon, drank wine from the region, regularly took a dip in the pool and meanwhile the sun went down, enjoyed the beautiful views. This is vacation! Thanks Miranda for this beautiful stay and mille grazie to host Monica, who made sure that we did't miss a thing. Poggio Maria, we will definitely go back to that house on the mountain.

We spent a very nice week in Poggio Maria with our children and grandchildren. The house is spacious, especially since we were with 7 people, everyone has their own room. The kitchen is very complete, we cooked for us (cook at home), we also did our best. There are plenty of options to entertain you. We cycled for a whole day, on rented e-bikes, with a nice wine tasting along the way and a delicious lunch. There are several nice restaurants in the area, for lunch or dinner, we were well pampered. The granddaughters have indulged themselves at a large outlet, at Serravale. On a less sunny day we went to Turin, to the car museum, a must. Near the car museum, the old Fiat Factory has been turned into a shopping center. The test track can still be seen on the roof, now decorated with art and beautiful gardens. The week flew by and we had a great time.

The house is charming and there is enough space for a large group. You have many options for eating and chilling, the bedrooms are also very spacious. it is not the most modern house, but it has many special details and fits into the beautiful rural setting and gives you a real 'Italian feeling'. Whenever we had a problem, Aad (administrator) was there in no time and helped us. the pool and pool house are great and you don't really have to leave the house, except for a wine tasting.

The run-up to this holiday already booked in September 2019 was exciting, because Corona left us in the dark for a long time whether we could go on the road. Miranda was very relaxed and pleasant in the communication about this. We had a full occupation of Poggio Maria with a 3 generation family and the house was fully furnished accordingly. We slept and cooked in the house, the rest was done outside. At the pool and gazebo during the day, in the evening sun behind the house for drinks and on the terrace near the kitchen breakfast and lunch (under the parasol) and dinner with sunset. Sun: you can find a nice spot at any time of the day! What Miranda was in the run-up, was Aad van Opstal, while we stayed there: super nice to have a point of contact so close by. Moreover, he delivered nice e-bikes for a nice tour in the area! We have been renting summer holiday homes in different places for a long time, but this was – as all the children said – an absolute winner.

This house is the dream. Perfect mix of modern and rustic. We felt very at home during our stay and the communication with the host was perfect, even allowing us to change around with dates with no hassle. Excellent villa, beautiful pool and even better hosts.

We had an amazing week at Poggio Maria. The house was beautiful, well cleaned and the perfect size for 2 families (9 guests). The large pool and ping pong table was much appreciated by the kids! There were plenty of little villages around the area to visit, some closer to the house than others, and a giant food store just a 10-minute drive away. The beach was located a little further from the house, about an hour drive, but on the hottest of days, totally worth it. We visited the market in Acqui Terme which had great fresh commodities and lots of cozy coffee spots.

This house is very beautiful and full of "ambience", It´s located on a small hilltop with a beautiful view over the lush green hills of Acqui Terme. This region is much less touristed than Tuscany and the location of the house is close to many enchanting hilltowns, wineyards, Alba, Asti, the Ligurian Sea. The big and beautiful pool is great for both adults and youngs. We took many walks in the nearby hills, and bought fresh peaches from the farmer next door. I would recommend this house - and region - very much!

HEAVEN ON EARTH!

We spend one week in july 2018 in this house and we LOVED it. The house, pool, interior and location was love at first sight. We had no problems with either the house or the landlord. A minor detail is the location of the house - it´s not on Google Maps but the owner was very helpful (again). We hardly left the house for one week - we spent the time at the pool and by the BBQ. I highly recommend the house! 6 out of 5 stars.

“We had a wonderful time in and around Poggio Maria. Made cycling trips with routes and bicycles from Aad, very beautiful and fun. Walked, visited the flea market, visited the slow food cheese festival in Bra and a wine producer in la Morra. In short, all super fun. We visited all the restaurants Miranda suggested. And cooked a lot ourselves. We found 'Ristorante della Posta' in Olmo Gentile our number 1... great place, beautiful view of snowy peaks, lovely women, good food and delicious wine. And Ristorante Tre Colline in Bubbio is also a nice place, especially outside with the pranzo.”

“It really is a beautiful house in an absolutely unique place. We were three families and we really enjoyed it here. The house is very tastefully decorated and is really fully equipped. Comfy beds and a lovely kitchen where everything you need is also available. We ended up spending most of the time outside. In addition to the large swimming pool, there is also a nice sitting area and a very cozy place to eat outside. We had never been to this part of the Piemonte, but the landscape is really unbelievably beautiful: a green patchwork of small vineyards. We were super excited and definitely want to come back again. And also recommend everyone to do the same. This house is a 100 percent recommendation!“

Poggio Maria is a beautiful house in a nice area. It was very very clean. For minor problems we could contact the manager. the pool is clean, the water pure and large, and we also used the outdoor grill often. The table tennis was also appreciated! We will definitely come again.

What an amazing place Poggio Maria is! The region is worth a visit anyway, with many nice villages and rolling hills. We visited Turin, a wonderful city! Then the house; what a nice spot that is. Had two wonderful weeks with 6 adult children. Everywhere around the house seats in sun or shade, a nice large swimming pool, wonderful beds. The house is very spacious, and not unimportant: the beds are good. There are games and even quite a few books. We enjoyed every day!!

We had a great week in Poggio Maria. Fantastic in every way! We are still enjoying every minute. Our children and grandchildren are also very enthusiastic, it was a perfect week! We enjoyed the house!! Every day we saw deer, we heard the cuckoo and owls. We have always had a nice meal on one of the terraces or at the swimming pool. Delicious restaurants nearby, Il Giardinetto and Tre Colline but also Al Cascinone! Had a very nice wine tasting in Poggio and one at Torelli. The evening with in-house cook Paola was AWESOME! And every evening we walked up the mountain to enjoy the view! In short, a week where valuable memories have been created ! The deal is that we are going to save for the next time ... because we all started to love Piedmont and Poggio Maria!

Awesome !!! This house is great and quite suitable for holidays with family or friends. We were 3 couples with 6 children and spent a week relaxing around the pool and barbeque. The house is spacious, everyone had their space and the preparation of meals was facilitated by a very good equipment of kitchen utensils and crockery. We spent a lot of time around the pool cleaned regularly by Mario, a friend of the owners. The view is superb, giving 360° on the Piedmont valley. In short, happiness!

Fantastic wonderful house with an amazing view .The house really breathes the region of Piedmont. We were completely in love with the interior of the house. One of the most cozy houses we have hired with a truly magical view.
